The first batch of Zn-Al-Mg steel poles has been unveiled at the Songzi Pumped-Storage Power Station in Hubei Province
Pumped-storage hydropower serves as the cornerstone of new-type power system. Recently, the first batch of ZAM steel poles produced by Jiangsu Guohua Tube Tower (GTT) was successfully deployed at the Songzi Pumped-Storage Power Station in Hubei Province – a key national energy storage project – leveraging advanced coating technologies and rigorous full-process manufacturing to support the development of this major national energy storage initiative.
Mountainous-region power stations operate in complex outdoor environments, which impose extremely stringent requirements on the corrosion resistance of components and the structural reliability of the entire system. The ZAM steel poles supplied for this project employ an advanced ZAM corrosion protection process; a multi-layer alloy coating forms a dense protective barrier that offers excellent weather and corrosion resistance, enabling the poles to reliably withstand harsh outdoor conditions—including high humidity and significant temperature fluctuations—and ensuring the long-term safe operation of the equipment.
From the initial contract technical review and raw material selection through to forming and processing, coating treatment, and final product inspection, a comprehensive, high-standard production control system is implemented throughout the entire manufacturing process. Sufficient design margins are incorporated, each production step undergoes closed-loop verification, and both product weight and dimensional accuracy are strictly controlled; technical specifications are enforced at every stage of production to ensure that components are suitable for on-site installation conditions.
The project order has been fully closed out; the delivery was completed on August 18, 2026, ensuring efficient fulfillment and delivery.
